Techno tracks are a relatively new phenomenon with an interesting history. It began in the 1980s, when a group of people began mixing several different genres of music. They spread this music among their friends, creating a small underground movement. The ability of Techno tracks to proliferate really came from the advances in electronic sound equipment, primarily in the area of price. As more electronic instruments became accessible to the average musician, Techno’s electronic heart began to beat. This beat was weak in the United States, where it began, since it failed to break into the mainstream. However, when it entered Europe, it caught the break it needed. And when it did, it got the name “Techno,” for its technological origins.
